Thursday continued

The climbing wall instructor was so good! (Alfie) My favourite part was the obstacle course because it was wet and muddy (Heather P) I enjoyed the archery because it was something new to learn (Chloe) Rafting and kayaking was an experience we'll never forget! (Mahika and Helen) We loved holding the ducklings at the goat farm and smelling the chocolate at the factory (Corinne and Heather R)

Thursday evening - pre Chateau Olympics

Wednesday continued

Mrs Aspin's and Mr Fraser's groups dragged themselves through the gruelling obstacle course and disorientating blind trail with muddy consequences!




















Mr Moore's and Mr Youlton's groups got wet and wild today! One of the highlights was tipping the headteacher into the murky depths of the chateau's lake!

“The fencing was quite hard and the suits were really sweaty but Noreen got to slap Miss Wollaston with her gloves to challenge her to a duel!” Thai, Brandon and Conner

“Mums get the washing machines on! We got covered in sticky disgusting mud this morning but the obstacle course was brilliant.” Kyle and Ben

“The Rue tour was interesting. In climbing we faced our fears to reach the top of the wall.” Andrew, Liam and Owen.

“We're all really proud of ourselves for conquering our fears. We overcame our fear of heights on the obstacle course and didn't panic on the blind trail. It made us realise how lucky we are to have our sight and how difficult it must be for people who are really blind. We're looking forward to the chocolate factory tomorrow - yum!” Esmae, Annabelle and Charlotte.

Mercredi le 23rd June - the sun shines on!

A great morning at Le Chateau, with all groups undertaking various activities - two groups, Mr Moore's and Mr Youlton's, getting a taste for the water with raft building and cnaoeing. Every picture tells a story......

This afternoon, some groups are off to the local town, Rue, for a tour whilst other groups continue with activities on site and maybe catch a glimpse of the England game!

Tuesday Evening - mud predominates!

Some comments from the children:-

We had a lot of fun on the obstacle course with our instructors; getting wet and muddy. The fencing was a lot of fun, even if Pajinder got very violent! Dayna, Hazel, Yasmin and Pajinder! Mr Fraser's group.

Following on from our success in the Junior Apprentice competition, we continued to 'reach for the stars' whilst scaling the dizzying heights of the north face of the Climbing Wall. Charlie, Sophie, Libby and Amy. Miss Shippey's group.

The blind trail was fun - 'cause you got really muddy. Mr Youlton poured water all over us! The market was interesting and the haribo stall was 'well nice!' There were rabbits and sunglasses. Annie, Megan, Alice and Katie. Mr Moore's group.

The market was interesting and the cheese was cheesy! Lord Sugar should have fired himself! We got really muddy on the blind trail. Isabelle, Lizzie, Sinthuya and Billy. Miss Keane's group.

We were amazing in the Apprentice and we think Lord Sugar should have hired, not fired us! On a high point, everyone gave their all on the climbing wall and at the fencing. Abby, Lucy, Josh and Cameron. Mrs Aspin's group.

We really enjoyed the obstacle course, because it was really muddy and although it was challenging, we were pleased with what we had achieved. Elena, Noreen, Hannah and Karis. Miss Wollaston's group.

The blind trail was like a mud bath. We've liked everything we've done so far. Finally from Jacob - 'Yo Mum, I've loved everything and I hope Alisha has a good birthday.' Hannah B, Kitty Louis (and Jacob) Mr Youlton's group.

Tuesday Morning at Etaples Market

After a good night's sleep for most, and a reasonable night's sleep for others it was croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast before getting on the coaches for the short journey to Etaples. Facing an 'Apprentice' style task each group had to buy bread, cheese, fruit, a postcard and a French present for a member of staff with the 10 euros provided.

Lord Sugar, (aka Mr Youlton) judged the entries in the boardroom and all groups were eventually fired to leave Miss Shippey's group to be hired!

This afternoon we are on site undertaking a variety of activities. Everyone in good spirits and eating well.
